Community Led Permaculture

A very large part of the work we do is working with community organisations to share permaculture knowledge. Our aim is to share this knowledge helping communities and community organisations to adapt to our ever changing culture and environment and introduce them to the permaculture design framework to help build their resilience.

Our aim is to work with the Permaculture Association UK educators’ group and with the organisations themselves, in creating a bespoke, educational toolkit. Our vision for this is to see communities and community organisations grow stronger in sharing their own services and vision for the future.

Here are some of the groups we are working with and what we are doing:

Hatherleigh Preschool –

We run weekly sessions delivering the Children In Permaculture curriculum, showing them how to grow food and promoting social wellbeing. We are also working with them, using the holistic design process of permaculture in their organisational structure.

Winsford Cottage Hospital

We started working with the Winsford Trust in 2017 who maintained the Winsford Cottage Hospital. During that time the hospital has transferred over to the Landmark Trust. Our work continues with the hospital in collaboration with the Landmark Trust as part of their community initiative.

We are supporting the delivery of permaculture education through workshops and helping to plant up the hospital garden with the local community.

The Turning Tides Project CIC

At Turning Tides we are integrating permaculture into the work they do, helping to promote their social model. We are facilitating training for their gardening service Another Root.

More details to come on these projects.
