The Winsford Trust

Introduction –

The Winsford Trust was set up to support the running of the Winsford Cottage hospital, a grade 2 listed building dating back to the early 1900s, and keep its heritage within the community of Halwill.  The hospital has not been in full use for some time but holds occasional events such as quiz nights and garden club meetings, to not only bring the community together but to support the running of the hospital.

These events help the trusts to raise funds for the upkeep of the hospital and be able to maintain the building ensuring its longevity and heritage. We aim to support the trust and centre by running workshops and courses and discuss further possibilities to support them.

This project is in its early stages and there is still a lot to be discussed but we’ll Observe and Interact and help ideas to evolve. Our plans in the meantime are to deliver course and workshops, learning a little more each time about the hospital and the community that surrounds it.

Our first event at the centre is an interactive Edible Garden Workshop.
